The Fall

We all are walking along a tightrope towards our death,

Undeserving of love

Or care

She cowers there

Hands clasped together

Around her tucked up knees …

Cacophony

A symphony of sound rings,

Penetrating the drums within,

Noise bouncing back and forth

Skittering around my head,

It’s lullaby calling to me, …

Providence

I hide in your shadow,

cowering from the light,

you don’t notice me,

you rule the earth,

sinners dying as you pass, …

Erebus

His head, full of dark scribbled clouds,
He turns away, hands covered over his eyes,
Hiding from the staring world,

Sharp eyes staring, glaring, buzzing a hole through his soul,

Burning, acid smelling, skin turning blackened, peeling away …

Rain

The water splatters joyfully on the

Window of despair, running down into

Rivers, meandering, with no care to

The pain insinuated within the room,

Sadness without expression, …
